Fashions Night Out (Part two)

When I first heard about Fashions Night Out I assumed it would be an exclusive event that wouldn't really be aimed at us mere bloggers. But, how wrong I was. The London leg of Fashion's Night Out was honestly one of my best night outs ever.
It all began in Selfridges, where the had put an ice cream bar in the basement. The Icecreamists (as the company is known) is like Ben n Jerry's edgier friend, with the promise of 'Liberating the world, one lick at a time'. With ice cream names like Nevermind the Hazlenuts and Lemony of the state it makes for interesting eating. My friends and I both settled on Obamarama a yummy mix of white chocolate and Baileys liquer.
But after that, it was onto the real shopping:
We bumped into Henry Holland outside of Browns (who happily took a picture with Sarah from City Girl's Fashion Box):

Absolute highlights of the night of course include Lara Stone & Mario Testino, but it was such a fabulous night out. It had something for every budding fashionista to the high street shopper who just wants to grab a bargain. Bond St & Oxford St was a buzz with people chatting about the nights festivities, and who they had bumped into. Mulberry gave out free cupcakes (to soak up all the free champagne) but Gucci had to get the award for drink of the night with the 'Flora' cocktail. A purple concoction with a pansy flower floating in the top, it honestly tasted like the perfume (in the nicest possible way of course), this was also served with personalised Gucci chocolate with the 'G' stamped on them.

(The awaiting paparazzi outside Burberry were going crazy for Sadie Frost & Donna Air but Lara Stone went largely unnoticed)

(Alexander Shulman leaving the Burberry party, she was followed shortly by Sarah Brown)

The night also offered a chance to meet the Vogue team. I was lucky enough to meet the lovely accessories editor, Harriet Quick in Jimmy Choo who offered us advice about our future careers and talked to us about how the night was going.
It will be a night that my friends and I will talk about for a very long time. I would love to see how successful the night was in terms of retail sales, because everyone seemed to be carrying armfuls of bags. We only finished our night with four Jimmy Choo bags:

(Unfortunately, the only items inside are the Fashion's Night Out charity t-shirts.)
